“La Maison”

Keeping with my favourite photography item for the still life – namely food. I wanted to photograph macaroons, as I love their texture and different colours. I went with my interpretation of a ‘French countryside’ theme and added the flower, the wood slab, and the hessian material.
I used two light sources; one key light on the left side of the objects, and one fill light to the right. There was also a window on the left which dispersed some natural lighting. The key had a slightly warmer light than the cold light of the LED used as the fill, and if I was to take the photo again I would ensure to use two more similar sources.
In Camera RAW I enhanced the sharpness, the vibrance and added vignette to create a more dramatic feel.
